We haven’t posted any updates since January because there really hasn’t been much activity yet. We’ve been waiting for the construction loan to close so we can begin on the house itself. Luckily, after 3 months, it seems like we’re finally going to close the loan. Closing is scheduled for the end of this week or early next week (April 27/30). After that, updates should be a lot more frequent and more interesting!
In the meantime, we do have a couple pictures worth sharing from some of the work that has occurred over the last 3 months. One of which is a new front gate and cattle guard has been set. Can’t wait for that driveway though!
The other is that we’ve completed burning of the brush piles leftover from clearing the home site and driveway. These brush piles were about 60x60x7′ of post oak and cedar. Which, dried cedar burns like gasoline and make for an impressive fire.
